Upon returning to work the following Monday I called and was directed to speak with Jeanine about the issue. Checked out of the hotel and was on my way to the airport when I received the electronic receipt in my email for $299/night. I also got verbal confirmation from the clerk working the night desk on 13 January when I asked if there would be any issue with me checking out at 3am the next day. On the third night of my stay I received a confirmation via the Bonvoy app that I would receive the government rate. Throughout this time, and navigating around the government business I was attending, I attempted several times to confront the desk clerk about ensuring I receive the government rate as I was unable to do so over the phone prior to arriving. The room was clean and modern, but for a 4-day stay I did expect at least one visit from the cleaning staff, but that seemed a bit excessive. The actual stay was decent besides the constant slamming of doors, the blinking light directly above the bed, and the confusing light switch setup. I ended up reserving a room using the Bonvoy app. I called several times in November to book a room but was placed on hold for 15+ minutes each time never being able to complete the booking process. First of all, I booked my reservation myself because I was to tell the booking receptionist what group I was with. I stayed at this hotel 10-14 January 2022 for government business and I will never stay at this location, or another Courtyard by Marriott again. She is truly great and awesome! We will definitely be back! Johnson to serve in management on how to treat guests. It would aid in the continued success of The Blake Hotel for Ms. The Blake Hotel needs to employ more Front Desk Agents with the same personality and knowledge that Ms. Johnson will still be working at the hotel. We will definitely stay again at this hotel and we pray that Ms. She greeted us each day that we were here with a smile and a warm greeting. She also gave her personal experience of the elevator and made me feel comfortable enough to ride it alone. She also calmed my fear of elevators by giving great details on when the elevator was last serviced and the amount of usage on a daily basis. She helped us by providing excellent directions to each place we wanted to go. Although we are not new to New Orleans regarding visiting, but this was our first experience at the Blake Hotel. One well-behaved pet per room is welcome at Red Roof Inn New Orleans - Westbank.Įxcellent customer service provided by Sharnell Johnson - Front Desk Agent! She was extremely helpful to my husband and me. Stop by our lobby for a complimentary cup of hot coffee or tea and purchase a treat from our snack center. Go for a swim in our seasonal outdoor swimming pool and enjoy a hot meal at a selection of delicious restaurants nearby, several within walking distance. You will find plenty of outlets around your room to charge all of your smart devices. Sign on to our free Wi-Fi and watch your favorite shows with our free expanded cable package. We are also near NAS JRB New Orleans Housing Service Center, the flights out of Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) and the medical facilities at West Jefferson Medical Center.After a day of exploring, unwind at our family-friendly hotel. Tour the nearby campuses of Tulane University, Xavier University of Louisiana and Loyola University New Orleans, then shop the latest fashions at Oakwood Center and Lakeside Shopping Center. Explore the historic exhibits at The National WWII Museum or attend an event at the New Orleans Ernest N. Stroll the vibrant streets of the French Quarter and snag tickets to a football game at Mercedes-Benz Superdome, home of the New Orleans Saints as well as the Sugar Bowl and the New Orleans Bowl.
